cant stop, wont stop……..puncturing

well its happened again, i punctured, today was a touch different though, i was at a local 10mile tt trying out my bike and handlebars etc before a bigger 10mile tt on saturday in Cambridge, and im really not so sure what happened this time, maybe i looked at the disc a bit funny, or glared at it, and it just went…..BOOM. right in the carpark. couldnt actually believe it myself. just blew up all by itself. guess things happen in threes, so thats my 3 punctures this week after the 2 i had on the track. still doesnt beat my training ride 2 weeks ago, where i punctured 3 times in one ride. that totally was a bad day at the office, i only carry 2 tubes with me and was stuck way in the back country of scotland, so had to rim the sucker 30km home. thats a moral killer if there ever was one.

i also read on stuff that cycling southland doesnt want to hold the track nats in 2009? im not sure i understand that, if i fought so hard for so long to get an indoor track built like all the guys did down there did, and the ILT and community trust put so much money into it, wouldnt you be fighting to have as many events there as possible? especially the nats?

A humble suggestion, I ride Mr. Tuffys (tire liners) on my training rides (all my rides are training rides). Its pretty funny how the tires on my fixie have about a million holes in them(Milwaukee roads are like Paris-Nice, just not cool looking), yet I have only gotten two flats once (blowout on a big rock, I think..) Any way, by me just mentioning the subject of flats the cycling gods are sure to punish me now. Hope you have better luck.
