yay my bike turned up
well after waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more, the postman turned up with my frame and i managed to chuck it all together and get out for a couple of half decent rides in the last couple of days, including a couple of 5km tests i had to do yesterday to see how the form was, and i can tell you the 5km tests sucked. the tests were good, but they still sucked
in my time without the bike i actually managed to do some domestic chores, like put a new seat toilet seat on the loo, a new toothbrush holder on the mirror, broke the soap dish holder on the mirror which now requires the purchase of a new mirror, cleaned the top of the stove and cleaned the extraction fan, and all the sort of stuff you think about doing, but can never be bothered with, so all in all its been a productive week.
we are off tonight for a crit in newcastle, which is meant to have a wicked technical course, and with 1000 squid on the line its going to be mental. theres a sharp chicane about 150m right before the line thats just a recipe for disaster. rob hayles went into that corner last year so hot he was actually sliding on his ass faster than the guys were taking the corner on their bikes after he smashed himself into the barriers, so hopefully there wont be any repeats tonight. oh yeah its meant to be torrential rain as well just to spice it up haha. should be good though, met a few people from newcastle before and they seem like a great lot, so being down there for a few days should be good times
