what an athlete

After winning the US PGA championship on Monday (NZ time), Woods said his opponents could have combated Tulsa’s notorious heat better if they had worked out like he does. Daly briefly led at Southern Hills before fading to tie for 32nd place.
Daly, who weighs 100kg and who has had well-documented battles with alcohol and gambling addictions, was his usual irreverent self on the eve of the European Tour Scandinavian Masters.
“I think I did better than most players last week who do work out,” Daly told a news conference.
“I don’t think it matters if you work out or if you don’t work out. I’m used to the heat. Fat boys like me can get through the heat.
“I tried but every time I worked out I threw up and I thought to myself you can get drunk and throw up, so it’s just not for me.
“I’m flexible enough, there are probably some things I could do to keep my flexibility up, but I’d rather smoke, drink diet Cokes and eat. I get enough exercise walking five or six miles a day.”
