dirty thieves
well, shit happens.
thats about all you can call it really, our flat in the good old garden city got fully done over.
i went out for about 45min last wednesday to go see carsy, and the girls got back from work and the front door was wide open, nothing was taken but it was still weird.
then on friday, it happened. the chicks got back from work at about 7.30pm and the front door again was wide open and the whole flat was ransacked. everything was upside down, all the drawers were flung out everywhere and lots of stuff got nicked. what a pain in the ass!!!!!!
they must have had all day to do it, cause i was down in invercargil doing wheel tests, and they girls all left for work at 7.30ish in the morning.
theyve taken some random stuff though, they nicked my xbox360 which i just got, heaps of cycling gear, all the cash in the house, poor old cat lost about 800 bucks, plus all our digital cameras etc. but they left alot of gear, like all the laptops, all our mp3 players, and stuff like that? which is random, but im assuming they got interupted or something like that, cause surely they shouldve taken all they could get. but then theyve taken stuff like my jeans, dress shoes, and a couple of my dress tops, which to me is some weird shit. but im not into the whole burglary scene so wouldnt know.
i very luckily got contents insurance the other day, so its all covered which is nice, but its just such a pain in the ass replacing and remembering what you actually had to fill in the insurance papers thats the problem. i was thinking when i was out training today it must be our old flatmate or something like that who did it, cause it wasnt a forced entry, as the locks werent busted or window broken or anything, so the theif must have had a key to get in. the locks have been changed now so thats all good but you still feel a bit violated when some randoms dudes have been messing about in your pad.
