watching the rain fall down
Right, Ive finally been talked into getting one of these things, its been a long time coming, but here it is.
I think the main reason this has come about is the fact that it is pouring with rain outside, and I’m amazingly bored. That bored in fact i ended up watching 2 hours of UKTV History channel about how the Romans went about their business back in the day. Yup, bored.
I was meant to be riding a madison today at Herne Hill, one of the oldest tracks in the world with my team mate Jt, but with the current precipitation outside it just isnt going to happen. But to be honest we were very lucky to actually have bikes left to contemplate even riding this morning, as mine and gordys absent minded flatmate Biggsy, decided in his infinite wisdom last night to leave the garage door wide open for all to see inside, im not talking about forgetting to lock, i mean fully wide open. brilliant. It was only brought to our attention this morning when myself and gordy walked out of our upstairs flat down onto the street to go get some coffee, and noticed the bikes were staring right back at us. it was one of those sinking feelings in the gut, like when you get pulled over by the cops, or forget your passport on the way to France (aka simon gaywood, another team mate). We both looked at each other and sighed, and went to count up what we thought was going to be thousands of pounds worth of damage, but i think we have actually escaped unscathed, as everything looks like its there, its hard to tell as our garage is the service course for our team so its not exactly what i would call in a tidy state, but it looks as though most of the mess was still there, so on we carried into town for coffee.
the season so far over here has gone ok, racing has gone well for me and gordy, the only complaint i have so far is the fact i punctured TWICE on Saturday and the Welyn track during a round of the national series, which sucked. im not sure what the problem is with that track as my teamate tony gibb punctured twice as well. coupled with the fact that the prize money sucked it was a pleasant day out, oh yeah it also was freezing cold and started to drizzle in the last race, but since i flatted the disk about 4 seconds after that i didnt care.
well thats about all ive got for today, i might go get my ass into gear and hop on the erg, then maybe even stretch! which im sure will annoy gordy, who considers stretching a sin, he prefers the “coiled spring” approach haha
